According to the Ministry of Finance, the amount corresponds to the first quarter payment of 2018 for the district badembly common fund, which was duly paid.
Ms. Abena Osei-Asare, Deputy Minister of Finance, announced it when she appeared before Parliament to answer questions regarding the release of funds for the benefit of DACF.
This follows a question asked by Mr. Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, Member of Parliament for North Tongu, asking the Minister of Finance when the first quarter of the DACF for the 2018 fiscal year that is overdue will be released.

She explained that in situations where revenue receipts were not sufficient to cover all constitutional costs attributable to the consolidated funds, delays may occur.
