In her presentation at the launch, Menaye Donkor-Muntari, National Director of Miss Universe Ghana, who is also a former beauty queen, declared this year's theme,
"Empowering Young Women and Breaking Up Women" barriers in the world of man, "reflects the purpose of the pageant to prepare confident young women to badume different roles in society
