The alleged assassin of a deputy threatens to seek justice from the ICC

One of the defendants accused of the badbadination of the MP of Abuakwa North, JB Danquah-Adu said Thursday that he would seek justice with the Court International Criminal Court (ICC).

Daniel Asideu aka Sexy Dondon who exploded after the judge denied him the opportunity to speak said he had the right to speak.

The accused said that some of the best members of the society and a party knows about the death of the deputy killed, adding that the deceased had been used as a sacrifice.

"There is a power within the powers and if you think you can buy power with money, you expect, you know all that's going on," lamented Asiedu while he was handcuffed and taken away.

Nana Obiri Boahen, a lawyer who was in charge of surveillance, had her share of charges.

It took the intervention of some journalists and court officials to calm Nana Obiri Boahen.

The trial judge, Ms. Aret Nsemoh, told the accused "today, I will not allow you to speak".

Earlier, the trial judge, Ms. Nsemoh, lamented the lengthy delays badociated with the trial and asked the prosecution why the indictment had been so long.

Ms. Nsemoh asks, "How long will it take to prepare an indictment?"

The trial judge said: [traduction] "If you can treat a member of Parliament this way, what will happen to a grandmother who will sell a gari somewhere?

"If you can treat a member like this, what about me?"

Nana Obiri Boahen also expressed her frustrations with the delays in the start of the trial.

"For three years there have been several adjournments, the police do not want the whole world to know what is happening.The police administration is not serious about it. Do not know anything about the next postponed date, "he added.

He said that he was going to meet the Inspector General of Police about it.

In prosecuting Deputy Police Superintendent (DSP), George Amegah informed the court that he should ask his superiors when the indictment would be ready.

He therefore prayed for an adjournment. The case was adjourned to 15 August .

On June 20 this year, Asiedu confessed before a district court in Accra that he was contracted to kill the lawmaker.

Asiedu is on trial with Vincent Bosso, who has always denied knowing the crime.

J.B Danquah Adu was murdered in his home in 2016 in Shiashie, the two suspects, were later arrested and charged with murder following the incident.

Their means were not retained and they were placed in pre-trial detention.

The facts of the case, presented by DSP Amegah, were that the deceased MP lived with his family in a one-story house in Shiashie, near East Legon, in the suburbs of Accra, while that Asiedu and Bosso lived in Agbogbloshie, also in Accra.

At approximately 11:40 pm on February 8, 2016, the member arrived home in his private car driven by his driver.

The driver handed the car's ignition keys to Danquah-Adu and left for the house, after which the deputy retired to the room on the first floor of his house.

Around 1 am, Asiedu and Bosso, armed with a catapult, a knife and a sharp knife, went to the legislature

Bosso would have helped Asiedu to enter the house by climbing the fence wall on the blind side of a security man who was sleeping soundly.

On entering the house, Asiedu took a ladder and climbed onto a porch on the top floor and entered the MP's bedroom through a window, while

Mr. Danquah-Adu was sleeping.

While Asiedu was searching the room, the MP woke up and detained him. There ensued a fight, during which Asiedu stabbed the deputy in the right chest above the chest.

The member therefore held the knife, and Asiedu pulled it through the member's hand, making a deep cut in his palm.

The legislator, who blew profusely, fell close to his bed, after which Asiedu stabbed him several times on the chest and right neck.

Realizing that the MP was dying, Asiedu left the room and took with him the iPhone's three smart phones.

Meanwhile, the fight between the MP and Asiedu had attracted the attention of the security man in the house, who alerted other security officers in the neighborhood.

Having been alerted of imminent danger, Bosso fled, leaving Asiedu behind him.

However, Asiedu managed to get off the top of the house and jumped over the electric fence on the walls of the house in a nearby house and escaped
