A man aged thirty or so years allegedly escalated a MTN Telecom mast and would have acted in an unusual way that would have shown that he had abused some tablets of Tramadol.

Identified as Solomon Tetteh, the man, wearing a military uniform, threatened to crush anyone who was trying to rescue him from the mast.

His entire attitude sent shock waves through the thorns of some residents and bystanders to Odumase-Krobo in the eastern region who feared he could lose his life

It took the intervention of the police and firefighters to forcefully drop the man who would have looked high on a drug suspected to be Tramadol

"What we have been told is that he is mentally challenged and also it was his second attempt at Climbing at the top of the network towers in the area.It was dressed as a military, it is unclear whether he was a soldier, " an eyewitness told Starr FM.

The threat of tramadol use in the country appears to affect all areas of society, including prostitutes.

Already, the unapproved use of this drug coupled with its effects has seen the Food and Drug Authority (FDA) embark on an intensified campaign against drug smuggling.

Controls show that the approved dose for a Tramadol patch is 50 milligrams, but developments show that Ghanaians absorb 100 to 250 milligrams of the drug. The reasons for taking these unapproved drugs are various.

Interactions by GHone with some Tramadol users show that while some of them take the drug to give them the strength to work overtime, others also feel the drug helps them to have fun for extended hours with their partners.
