JOHANNESBURG – The Communications Workers Union (CWU) says it's unacceptable that the post office does not increase its wages for more than two years despite the conclusion of contracts, including the distribution of social subsidies

Thousands of postal workers, including those at Telkom, have demolished tools across the country on wages.

The union Cylde Mervin says, "Our argument is that the government must intervene because we understand that it belongs to government."

Unions demand a 12% increase in all areas. La Poste insists that the company can only offer 6%, adding that she is facing financial problems.
