VIVO Energy in Ghana, with the support of Physicians for Road Safety and the Red Cross, has launched a wellness program called "Fit to Drive Road Safety Campaign" for commercial drivers in the Greater Accra region. Road crashes kill 6 people each day in Ghana and cause more deaths than disease [19659006] drivers, chronic diseases such as hypertension, diabetes and fatigue are direct risk factors for road accidents as they decrease the strength and ability of drivers, especially commercial drivers .

It is for this reason that VIVO Energy has launched a road safety campaign for drivers to be healthy and fit to drive.

Ms. May Obiri Yeboah, executive director of the National Road Safety Commission, asked the drivers at the hospital as often as they take their car to the mechanic.
