High school football: Corner Canyon hosts the treble on Saturday

College football season kicks off next Saturday, but a high school football hat-trick will take center stage this Saturday at Corner Canyon High School with some of the state’s top talent.

Corner Canyon hosts the first Charger Kickoff Classic on Saturday, with all three games at stake in rare high school football action on Saturday in Beehive State.

The day starts at 11 a.m. with Brighton (1-0) face Syracuse (1-0). Brighton is led by highly recruited linebacker Lander Barton, who will be playing college football regularly on Saturdays for years to come, but he will get a taste of Saturday afternoon football this week.
