An Apex Legends bug can let players move incredibly slowly, but it's possible to fix it.

Apex Legends was commended for its remarkably painless launch. Despite records of players, the game has not suffered too much from major problems since its debut, leading to a pleasant experience for the majority of players.

This does not mean that there are no bugs to find, and that one in particular can lead to a frustrating end to a match. In some cases, players may find themselves stranded to move, virtually a death sentence in a game that puts a lot of emphasis on its fast movement.

Two separate instances can cause slow movement. This results in an effect of slow motion for all players of the game, server problem for which there is no solution but wait for the game to recover.

The other, however, can occur after the fall of a player. During the recovery, the players will sometimes find themselves still blocked at the speed of travel at which the slaughtered players are limited.

The origin of the bug is not clearly defined, but it will persist even through speed-shifting abilities, such as Wraith's Dimensional Rift: the player will be accelerated over his already slow speed, rather than returning to his usual rhythm.

Although it is an inconvenient solution, there is a way to reset the speed of movement: reappearing. Assuming you're not already in combat, you can do it by throwing grenades at your feet. It is advisable to remove your bulletproof vest before speeding up the process – to allow you to clear your blood, then leave your team-mate, bring your banner on a re-appearance beacon. When you return to the game, your movements should return to normal.

Although this tactic undoubtedly leaves your team vulnerable for an extended period of time, the handicap of the movement speed bug is so great that in most cases it is probably your best option if you wish to continue in the match.
