Jakarta (ANTARA News) – Maybe some of you have heard that coughing can help to stop having a heart attack? Is this step effective?

"Sometimes a heart attack is one of the complications of arrhythmia – a disturbance of the heart rhythm, cough can stimulate a reflex of the normal heart rhythm, but its success is low," said RSPI Puri Indah, dr. Johan Winata, Sp.JP (K), FIHA in Jakarta, Tuesday.

According to Johan, when you realize that the person near you has a heart attack, you should take him to the hospital for medical help immediately.

"There is a direct attack at the hospital, we better think that it is heart disease, but it is not the case," he said.

A person suffering from a heart attack usually experiences symptoms such as cold sweats, nausea, vomiting and pale.

"Attacked, chest pain 15 minutes off, less than three hours of medication for minimal effect, not to heart failure, lower mortality risk," Johan said.
