JAKARTA-The Agency for Health Research and Development completed the 2018 Basic Health Research (Riskesdas). Regarding nutritional status, said Drg Widyawati, Riskesdas 2018 showed an improvement in nutritional status among infants in Indonesia. "The proportion of nutritional status is very short, rising from 37.2% (Riskesdas 2013) to 30.8%, and the proportion of malnutrition and malnutrition increased from 19.6% (Riskesdas 2013) at 17.7%, "he said. But what needs to be addressed, he said, is the trend to increase the proportion of obesity among adults since 2007, or 10.5% (Riskesdas 2007), 14.8 % (Riskesdas 2013) and 21.8% (Riskesdas 2018).

Maternal health in Indonesia is also improving. This is reflected in the increasing proportion of antenatal care from 95.2% (Riskesdas 2013) to 96.1%. The proportion of antenatal care (ideal k1) from 81.3% (Riskesdas 2013) to 86%, the proportion of prenatal care (k4) from 70% (Riskesdas 2013) to 74.1%, the proportion of deliveries in health facilities from 66.7% (Riskesdas 2013) to 79.3%. "Similarly, the proportion of complete postnatal visit services has increased from 32.1% (Riskesdas 2013) to 37%," said Dr. Widyawati.

For health, he added, it should be noted that data on the basic immunization coverage of children aged 12 to 23 months, Riskesdas 2018, indicated a vaccination coverage of 57.9%. This number decreased slightly compared to Riskesdas 2013, with 59.2%.

"The proportion of birth weight greater than 2500 grams (birth weight) is 6.2% and the proportion of length at birth is greater than 48 cm of 22.7%." In the case of infectious diseases, prevalence, such as acute respiratory infections, malaria and diarrhea among children under five, has decreased compared to the 2013 Riskesdas results.
