Harianjogja.com, TULUNGAGUNG– A student from Tulungagung, in East Java, was reportedly the victim of measles immunization against measles.
Suyanto (58), a relative of Wildan (12), a student at MTS and paralyzed by foot after being immunized by MR, took a walk from Tulungagung to Kediri, East Java, to protest his son's alleged misconduct .
Suyanto, from Sumberejo Kulon village, Ngunut sub-district, Tulungagung Regency, began its action alone, from the former crossroads of the RS, Jalan Raya Sudirman, in the city of Tulungagung, with plans for reach the city of Kediri.
By wearing two posters, "My son, a rubella victim" and "Claiming that my son Wildan is done justice" in front of and behind the body, Suyanto continued walking along the median national road towards Kediri.
The action of Suyanto has attracted the attention of road users who, since Tuesday morning, began to travel the provincial road on the edge of the heart of the city of Tulungagung.
"I want to seek justice for my child who is currently suffering from total paralysis of the legs after MRI vaccination [measles and rubella] by the officers of the Kediri health office of his school, MTS Lirboyo, Kediri ", said Suyanto with watery eyes.
At the beginning of the story of his son who is now hospitalized at Saiful Anwar Hospital of Malang City, Suyanto still looks strong.
However, he recounted the state of his youngest son totally paralyzed and who would have died under his care at RSSA in the city of Malang, Suyanto cried with all his heart.
"He had already had symptoms of typhoid and his permission had not entered the boarding school or the Islamic school, and he returned to Kediri. [masuk Ponpes Lirboyo dan mengikuti kegiatan belajar-mengajar di MTS setempat] "The situation did not fully recover when puskesmas officers carried out a mbadive immunization against MRI at my child's school," Suyanto said.
Just hours after the Wednesday MR vaccination (10/24/2018), Wildan is complaining of weakening of his legs. The state was aggravated and Wildan finally could not walk.
"The morning is immune, the legs are weak in the afternoon," he said.
Suyanto still hopes that Wildan can be restored as before. He sought medical treatment, ranging from Kediri Hospital to RSUD Dr. Iskak, who was hitherto treated at RSUD Saiful Anwar, endowed with medical facilities and qualified medical experts.
"I simply want to hold the health office accountable, because when the vaccination is done, there is no confirmation or approval from the tutor / parents of the students," he said.
The burden of thought that Suyanto now feels is the cost of treating Wildan while in hospital.
Wildan's doctor explained that the santri at Tulungagung's Lirboyo boarding school had "guillain-bar syndrome" (GBS).
BGS is an immune disorder that attacks the nervous system.
Forest fires require five times more treatment than plasmapheresis. The total cost required is 120 million rupees.
However, BPJS Health claims to only support the initial medical costs.
"It's what makes me feel objected, I can not afford to pay so much," he said.
But if conditions do not change, Suyanto is still thinking of alternatives to prosecute.
Before the vaccination, on Friday (19.10.2018), Wildan had returned home from a boarding school in Kediri because of typhus or typhoid.
After treatment, Wildan returned to the Islamic school Tuesday (22/10/2018).
The next day, Wednesday (23/10/2018), there was a mbad vaccination at the Wildan School. Despite the recovery of his disease, Wildan was immediately injected with rubella vaccine without parental permission.
The Wildan family has questioned vaccination after this disease.
