According to Wiendra, there is no accurate data on the number of patients with hepatitis. But if estimates of 1 percent of the number of patients with hepatitis C alone, there are about 2.5 million people with it. Many are not aware of being already exposed to hepatitis.

"Of this number, it is estimated that only 3 thousand people are aware and seek treatment," he said.
