YLKI will sue KAI if cigarette ads at stations are not also revoked

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – The Indonesian Consumers Foundation (YLKI) has threatened to take legal action if PT Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI) does not remove cigarette ads at several stations.

Tulus Abadi, chairman of the daily YLKI Daily, said KAI had given two weeks to cut cigarette advertising.

"We have given KAI management two weeks to respond to our open notice: if there is no response from KAI in two weeks, it is quite possible that we will take legal action", said Tulus in Jakarta on Friday (11/16/2018).

Tulus added that before suing, she would write to the Ministry of Transport to give a strong warning to KAI. In addition, his party will also contact the KAI Board of Commissioners to ask him to evaluate the management of KAI.

"Before our opening to the public, we had a discussion with the Director of Management (KAI) and the Ministry of Transport."
