They asked other witnesses to be in the vicinity of Main St, Castleblaney between 11:15 pm and 11:45 pm Tuesday night.

Earlier: call on the woman who was first at the crash site of Monaghan
Gardaí is appealing to a woman who was the first on the scene of a fatal accident in Monaghan County to come forward.
Stephen Brown, 47, was killed in a two-car collision that occurred in Castleblayney on Tuesday night.
He was married to a 9-year-old daughter and a 6-year-old son.
A man had left the Garda station and Garda Devlin, who had recognized him in a previous case, had tried to arrest him. However, he was dragged by the car.
The car was driving irregularly, the driver 's door opened on the main street and crashed against Mr. Marron' s car, which was delivering pizza.
The car climbed the sidewalk and stopped after hitting a pedestrian. Garda Devlin was taken to the hospital and Mr. Marron died on the spot.
The driver, a 34-year-old man, is still in custody.
Garda superintendent Fergus Treanor, based in Carrickmacross, is leading the investigation and said the investigation was about to end because the man's detention will be exhausted later today.
He described the events that occurred after the man entered the Castleblaney station for RTÉ's Morning Ireland newspaper.
"By chance, Garda Devlin was present and knew this individual eight years ago," said Superintendent Treanor.
"He left the Guard Station in a hurry and Garda Devlin tried to talk to him and was then unfortunately dragged by the car along York Street to Main Street. [for] about a quarter of a mile. "
CCTV footage then showed a woman rescuing Garda Devlin.
"From what I can see, she acted very bravely," said Superintendent Treanor.
"I think that she thought the car was on fire, there was definitely a lot of smoke, and her efforts to help Garda Devlin are in my thoughts for the moment." She obviously was involved in a danger .
Superintendent Treanor stated that it was important that they talk with the woman because she was the first person on the scene.
Garda Devlin is recovering and is in the care of her family. The investigators are going to talk to him soon, said Superintendent Treanor.
"After talking to his district officer, I know his first thoughts were about the deceased, Stephen Brown."
Superintendent Treanor said the guard had recognized the detainee when he entered the Garda station for the first time, saying the couple had had contact with him eight years earlier.
"We will obviously consider this, but it is obvious that Garda Devlin has recognized it."
"Castleblayney is shocked, but from Garda's point of view, the support we've had over the past two days has been amazing and touching.
"I know Stephen was an important part of the community and there is a lot of grief there," he said.
