Crowley Carbon provides energy services to a range of corporate customers including Johnson & Johnson, Associated British Foods and Proctor and Gamble.

"Ireland's position on Solar is unfortunately pretty mediocre, our installed solar base only representing 8 MW, unlike the UK, with a similar solar light, with 1,600 times more energy than ours, "said founder and CEO Norman Crowley. .

"There are many myths about solar that need to be debunked, knowing that, as it rains a lot here in Ireland, we have little or no hope of producing electricity from the sun, which is just wrong. "

He added that the company 's goal is to install more than 1,000 MW of solar energy by 2024, which would reduce carbon emissions from the project. Ireland 250 000 tonnes a year.

Crowley Carbon is part of the growing number of companies entering the solar power generation space here, as pressure continues to decarbonize the sector.
