Horror as a massive spider found in a pre-packaged lidl salad

Most of us buy a salad at lunch time thinking that we are taking the road healthy and safe.

But a Lidl customer had the shock of his life after eating what he thought was a normal meal.

Covered with mayo and mixed with lettuce, carrot and corn, it was nothing more than a giant spider.

The shocking images show what we consider to be an eight-legged salad beast purchased from the Kildare City store.

Although it is very clearly dead, it is always terrifying to think that it could have been consumed.

The images of the spider were shared by the client's concerned mother on Lidl's Facebook page, with many commenting on their disgust at the situation.

The spider found in Lidl salad

She said, "Look what my daughter has found in her salad." My daughter had the salad for her lunch earlier and it was against the lettuce leaves She is after vomiting … she hopes not to having eaten it is what she has not seen. "

One person replied, "Oh Jesus, it's disgusting … I feel sick !!!!"

While another said: "Thank God, I do not eat traumatic salad."

But another also managed to shed light on the situation, adding, "Did she charge extra for that?"

And another one is mocked: "OMG seriously !!! Are they starting a new range of tests for Bush Tucker?"
