WARNING: Some parts of Cumbria should expect winds of 70 mph
A weather warning for the arrival of Storm Diana in Cumbria has been extended.
The Met Office issued a yellow wind warning for Carlisle and the west half of Cumbria for tomorrow. Originally, it was in effect between 9am and 9pm, but it was extended and will last until midnight.
The warning warns people of the risk of winds at 70 mph in exposed areas while gusts of 60 mph are more typically expected.
The strong winds will also bring rough seas and big waves, with possible coastal impacts.
