Offaly was included in the warnings of storm Diana for the first time, as the national forecaster issued a yellow status warning for the entire country reporting south to southwest winds of 55 to 65 km / h and gusts from 90 to 110 km / h.
This warning is valid from 5 am on Wednesdays and until 4 pm on Wednesdays.
Elsewhere, the orange wind warning for Cork, Kerry and Waterford predicts strong winds badociated with storm Diana on Wednesday with southerly to southwest winds of 65 to 80 km / h and gusts to 110 to 130 km / h. There will also be high seas, with a risk of coastal flooding.
This warning is valid from Wednesday 6am to Wednesday 12pm.
A similar warning has been issued for Wexford, Galway and Clare, though it is valid from 9 am Wednesday to 2 pm Wednesday.
Met Éireann also issued a Status Yellow status warning for Dublin, Louth, Wexford, Wicklow, Meath, Donegal, Leitrim, Mayo and Sligo. h.
The winds will be the strongest along the exposed coast, where some stronger gusts are possible. But the winds will blow from the south until Wednesday at 14:00.
