Instagram has announced the introduction of new accessibility tools designed to help visually impaired users.

The photo sharing platform introduces an "automatic alternative text" that will describe the photos sent to the platform to those who need it.

By working with screen readers, he will describe the images that appear in the Instagram feed, explore and profile sections.

"This feature uses object recognition technology to generate a description of the photos for the screen readers so that you can hear the list of items that photos may contain when you browse the application. ", said Instagram in a blog post.
