A 34-year-old man appeared in court over the death of a man during an incident in Castleblayney, Monaghan.
Stephen Brown, 47, died when a car crashed into his Skoda parked Tuesday night.
James Tomany, of Clay Road, Keady, in Armagh County, appeared tonight in Carrickmacross District Court during a special hearing, charged with dangerous driving causing death and danger.
He also appeared under two counts of badault for a separate incident in March of this year.
Stephen Marron, a father of two, was killed when his car was hit by a car around 11:30 on Tuesday night.
The court learned that when he was charged with dangerous driving, he replied, "I am sorry for my actions."
He made no comments when he was accused of endangering him.
No bail application has been made and Mr. Tomany has been remanded to appear before the Cloverhill District Court by videoconference next Wednesday.
Stephen Brown's funeral will be held at Saint Mary's Church in Castleblayney on Saturday morning.
