A section of the M7 at Co Kildare remains closed today and in the early hours of tomorrow.
As part of the modernization work, a new bridge is being installed and the highway is closed in both directions between Naas North and Naas South.
Motorists are diverted on new straps and a temporary speed limit of 25 kilometers to the hour is in place.
The road will reopen tomorrow morning at 9 o'clock.
"We are installing the upper deck at Osberstown, which is the new Sallins Bypbad Interchange," said Niall Morrissey, Kildare County Council Road Services Director.
"The public will be diverted by the exit ramp around the work and by the newly installed braces."
