The authorities of the Caribbean island of Curacao announced that 17 crew members and 11 pbadengers were to remain aboard a ship belonging to the Church of Scientology and quarantined as a result of a confirmed case of measles.

More than 700 people in 22 US states have caught measles this year. Federal officials said the outbreak was motivated by misinformation about vaccines.
