Cocaine was seized Wednesday night.
Gardaí arrested a man some thirty years ago as a result of a cocaine seizure of an estimated value on the streets of € 60,000 – ongoing badysis – in Carlow Town.
The drugs were discovered during a house search on Wednesday night by members of Kilkenny / Carlow's divisional drug unit.
This unit was supported by members of the Carlow Garda station during the operation.
The man is currently detained at the Carlow Garda station under the provisions of section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996.
The investigations are in progress.
