A pbadenger on a flight to Dublin described the "scary" experience after her return flight was forced to divert to another airport due to strong winds.
The WOW Air flight from Reykjavik, Iceland, was forced to cancel a landing at Dublin Airport due to heavy gusts this morning.
The plane had to carry out a go-around on Tuesday morning because of the strong winds.
The flight attempted to attempt a second landing but was eventually rerouted at Shannon Airport, reported the Irish Sun.
The shaken pbadenger told Dublin Live: "The pilot said that he had been trying to land and that at first we thought everything was fine." He then explained that he did not could not land because of the winds and we had to be headed to Shannon – it was pretty scary. "
The flight landed at 10:19. The aircraft was refueled but remained in Shannon until the weather conditions in Dublin improved.
The flight then returned to Dublin at 11:54.
The woman congratulated the airline staff for her handling of the situation.
