Two men were arrested after a fight in a Ryanair flight from the UK, leaving blood splashed in the cabin.
Dramatic images posted on social media showed two men fighting while a flight attendant was trying to interpose and the pbadengers were shouting at them to stop.
The airline confirmed that officers in Tenerife had been called to meet the plane that was coming from Glasgow Prestwick.
A statement from Ryanair said: "After two pbadengers became disruptive in flight … the police kidnapped and arrested two individuals."
Ben Wardrop, who filmed the incident, said that it stemmed from a discussion that had taken place while the flight was still underway.
He said: "It all started with a woman not wearing shoes in the plane that was going to the toilet, and a very drunk man raised her up, saying that someone would stand on her toes, then the woman's boyfriend stepped in and tried to defuse the situation.
"Once the plane landed and more alcohol was consumed, the man and the woman's boyfriend started arguing. Both were very drunk, so they started to fight, hit on the nose. "
