X Factor star Anthony Russell broke his silence after shocking fans in the face of a notorious prisoner.
The singer, who will face Dalton Harris and Scarlett Lee in the live final this weekend, sparked controversy when he was caught chatting with incarcerated Michael Trevillion, who was using a mobile phone brought in. jail.
Anthony, 28, was in ITV Studios when he spoke to the man, referred to as "Most Wanted by Merseydie" on FaceTime.
Michael, who was apparently using an account under the name of John Smith, posted a screenshot of the call on his Facebook page on October 14: "Just had a clearer conversation with my friend Anthony Russell and [sic] he has the X Factor bad "

It serves four years for burglary.
Sources said that Anthony knew the ransom in the cage since the holidays, but sources in the camp of Anthony denied knowing the prisoner, insisting that he had called the singer on a Facebook messenger out of the blue and that he had asked who it was.
They said that he did not know that the man was in prison or was using an illegal cell phone.
A spokesman for the prison service said: "Anyone who behaves in this way can expect to spend much more time behind bars.
"We have invested £ 2 million to detect and block mobile phones in order to avoid their initial use."
Since the fans were shocked, Anthony broke his silence on social networks.

Last night, Anthony posted a video of himself and Scarlett in the X Factor House, as they expressed their disbelief – and their joy – of being in the finals.

He thanked a bakery for putting his face on cupcakes, shared someone else's message to encourage people to vote for him, and published a photo of the decimated competitor Brendan Murray, who has stated that he was on his way back to London Studios.

Anthony first joined the X Factor last year to present himself to his audition with a black eye, but he withdrew because of a fight against drug addiction.
The former One Direction actor, Louis Tomlinson, spoke to him and offered to help him, before he was lucky enough, becoming a judge of X Factor and the Anthony's mentor.
