The remains of a young Irishman who was killed in an alleged badault in New York were brought home before his funeral, said his broken-hearted family.
Daniel John McGee (21), of Drumlish, Longford County, died after an alleged punch attack at the Gaslight Bar in Queens on November 22nd.
His devastated parents, Don and Colleen, as well as his siblings, said in a statement broadcast on RIP.ie that he will stay with his family tonight between 5pm and 9pm, also between 2pm and 5pm tomorrow, and then 18h to 20h.
Her funeral will be held at St Mary's Drumlish Church on Thursday afternoon.
The New York Police Department confirmed that a man had been charged with badault.
Mr. McGee is remembered as a popular young man, talented football player and GAA.
