DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. – This is a total war against mosquitoes in DeKalb County .
Health officials said they found 47 mosquitoes infected with West Nile virus until now this season. This puts DeKalb on the right track to meet or exceed last year's numbers.

"All metropolitan districts have mosquitoes that probably have," said Gordon Cargal, a mosquito expert from DeKalb's Department of Health. It is imperative that all residents take this seriously and take precautions.
Suggestions included hiring a company to water your garden, spray you with DEET products and get rid of any stagnant water on the outside. more than 100 mosquitoes
West Nile produces flu-like symptoms for the most part. But in rare cases, it can make you very sick.
"West Nile can be deadly, so we do not want to run the risk of contracting the disease," said Eric Nickens, spokesperson for the DeKalb Health Department.
