Four men, two teens in their twenties, a teenager and an adult in their forties, were arrested for attacking a referee during a match at Horseleap on November 11.
The men were arrested this morning on Wednesday, November 28, following an investigation into the incident during a match between Mullingar Town and Horseleap in the Leinster Senior League.
The four suspects are detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984.
They are detained at Mullingar, Tullamore and Birr Garda stations.
