Four men were arrested in connection with an badault on a football referee earlier this month in Horseleap, County Offaly.

Gardai says that a man in his forties, a teenager and two men in his 20s were arrested this morning.

They are all questioned under section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act at the Mullingar, Tullamore and Birr Garda Stations.

The referee Daniel Sweeney, a native of Donegal, was seriously injured in the face, including the broken jaw, following the attack that took place after a match on November 11th.
