Jeremy Kyle See Steve Dymond, victim of "suicide," was buried at a small funeral organized by the local council today.
The 63-year-old grandfather Steve was found dead at his home in May, a few days after filming an episode of the ITV live chat where he had failed a test of lie detector.
The driver of the shovel was buried at Kingston Cemetery in Portsmouth in front of a handful of people in mourning.
Steve's ex-fiancee, Jane Callaghan, had already explained to the Mirror that an environmental health officer had to organize the funeral because "no one else has come forward."
Jane's relationship with the construction worker was the subject of the Jeremy Kyle Show episode in which Steve had hoped to prove he had not been unfaithful.
Jane, 48, said, "The council phoned me to tell me that they had arranged the funeral themselves because no one else had come forward.
"I will go with my daughter because I do not want to regret it later, but I still have very mixed feelings about it.
"I'm always everywhere. I was told that only two people asked to be kept informed of the funeral. It's sad that it ends like this.
Steve was found in his bedroom on May 9, surrounded by drugs.
He had told his owner that he was thinking of "taking drugs back from Manchester" after being in the studios of the Jeremy Kyle Show.
ITV has decided to permanently remove the Jeremy Kyle Show 14 years after the death of Steve.
Steve had registered to participate in the show in order to prove to his ex-girlfriend that he had not been unfaithful.
The episode was filmed on May 2 and Steve's former partner saw him for the final four days later.
Jane claimed that Steve had asked to participate in the series 300 times, despite his health problems.
Last month, DS Marcus Mills told the Portsmouth Coroner's Court that Steve's death was an "alleged suicide."
The investigation was postponed until 21 November.
