Steven Gerrard explained how Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos reminded him of former Liverpool striker Luis Suarez.

Morelos has scored 16 goals since the start of the season for Gerrard's team after the Rangers defeated Livingston this weekend.

The Light Blues can go one step closer to the last 32 of the Europa League they can go down Villarreal Thursday night.

Another yellow card for Morelos would prevent him from playing in the last Rangers group game against Rapid Vienna next month.

however, Gerrard does not want to knock out the Colombian and believes that Morelos has the same "factor X" as his former Liverpool team-mate Suarez.

"I think he knows," said Gerrard. "There is an element when you have to let it be.

"He plays on the wire, it will be uncomfortable for these two central defenders, or three they decide to play with three.

"We talk to him, we talk to the whole group and we talk to them about discipline in every game. They know, they understand.

"But at the same time, we can not ask Alfredo not to be aggressive in his way of playing because that's where he is at his best and the reason he scored two goals from last year .

"It actually makes [remind me of Suarez]Yeah. A lot.

"We can change it, we can help, we can certainly help with his disciplinary record. He knows it.

"But I like this type of player, I love players who play at the limit and who are sometimes wrong because they are the ones who make the difference, they have the X Factor.

"If you are a player and you do not really play outside … you do not really make things happen on a football field.

"I loved playing with Suarez, that's my favorite player. And I think I have already expressed how much I love Alfredo.
