Brian Kerr is one of the most astute experts in the world and his knowledge of Irish football is unmatched.

His use of Irish slang words also offers comic relief to viewers on a regular basis.

During the cover of the 2018 World Cup, he delighted viewers with expressions such as "banjoed", "knicky-knacky" and "wingery".

Graeme Souness joined Kerr on the Virgin Media Sport panel tonight and was perplexed by the word "malojan".

Kerr: "The pitch was absolutely malojan and it did not help."

Souness: "What is it, what is the word you used?"

Kerr: "Malojan, that does not mean very well."

Souness: "I like it, I'm going to use it."

Kerr: "It's a word, but it's not a Scottish Gaelic word!"

Martin: "You will not hear that on Sky."

Souness: "You are going now."

Kerr"No, the land has been ordered – there is another one for you."

Brian: "The pitch was malojan."

Graeme: "What is it?"

Brian: "Malojan, that does not mean very well."

Graeme: "I like that."

Brian: "Rag order, it's another for you."
