A new study reveals that in vitro fertilization does not increase the risk of ovarian cancer in women.

It has been feared that hormonal stimulation of the ovaries during the IVF process may increase the risk of cancer.

They found no evidence establishing a link between IVF and ovarian cancer.

According to the experts, these results are rebaduring and should allay the fears of women considering treatment

. The increased risk of ovarian cancer in IVF patients is probably due to female infertility rather than to hormonal stimulation during IVF.

The study was conducted by researchers from the Copenhagen University Hospital (DEN) and presented to the European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology.
