There will be another wet and windy day with Met Eireann who will warn of the possibility of hail or thunder.
Heavy rains will hit eastern Ireland on Thursday morning, but it is expected to clear by the afternoon.
The national forecaster is expecting widespread showers throughout the day. Maximum temperatures can reach 11 ° C.
He said: "This morning, the rains in the east will dissipate and elsewhere, there will be heavy scattered showers with some clearings.
"Showers will become widespread during the afternoon with the risk of hail or thunder, especially in the west.
"The afternoon temperature will be about 7 to 11 degrees in cool, windy southwest wind."
The gusty winds will continue in the night, as well as long rain showers.
Met Eireann added: "The night will be colder than Wednesday with temperatures as low as 4 ° C.
Tonight, scattered showers will continue and could turn into longer rains in the north.
"The lowest temperatures will fall between 4 and 7 degrees and winds from southwest to west will be cool and gusty."
Friday will be a little sunnier, but it will be a cooler day with high winds.
"Friday will see new scattered showers with good clearings.
"Fresh, gusty west winds will blow in the evening and maximum temperatures will only reach 6 to 10 degrees."
