I am a celebrity, James McVey, has embarked on a battle against an eating disorder.

In an interview with The Mirror, The Vamps guitarist said he developed a weight problem after being overweight in his childhood.

The singer is currently in I'm Celebrity (ITV / REX).

This developed a "negative relationship" with the food that left him "stuck to the skin".

Aged 24, he said, "Fans always send me pictures from years ago. I am slim and I did not realize how thin I was.

"I was sick and I looked sick. I am happy to be able to close the loop now and see the food in a positive way.

"I do not want to minimize anorexia, but I had a negative relationship with food at the very beginning. I was obsessed with food.

"It's now about developing muscles and losing weight. You must eat more good things. "
