INIT is about to create up to 20 new jobs through the opening of a new software development center at Co Kildare today.
The provider of IT solutions for public transport has consolidated its presence in Ireland, its first center of operations outside Germany.
It is understood that the strategic move was made after the company has completed several successful projects here.
The provider of integrated planning, planning, telematics and ticketing systems for buses, trams and trains wanted to build on the Irish software ecosystem and the English service market.
The new highly qualified roles will be created in the areas of software development, C ++ and C #.
The Minister of Business, Enterprise and Innovation, Heather Humphreys TD, said that with its fast growing economy, Ireland was an ideal location for INIT.
Among the INIT projects include providing an integrated ITS solution to Dublin Bus in order to optimize its operations and manage its bus services throughout the city.
The system also provides a real-time flow in the pbadenger information infrastructure of the National Transportation Authority (NTA).
