Mario Mandzukic gives Juventus ahead to Valencia

Mario Mandzukic's participation was enough to bring Juventus into the last 16 games of the Champions League with a 1-0 win against Valencia.

Tuesday night's hosts entered the match knowing that one point would allow them to qualify for the knockout stages and, although the performance was not the most perfect, they did their job .

After a first half – which saw Mouctar Diakhaby move closer to the lead to give the advantage to Valencia – Mandzukic scored a center from Cristiano Ronaldo to allow Juventus to qualify for the next round.

Admittedly, it is strange to choose a goalkeeper and a loser, but Valencia could have been beaten by many more – especially in the second half – though there had not been the goalkeeper who showed great trust.
