Strong words.
Taoism Leo Varadkar was described as "disgrace" on Wednesday to Dáil Eireann.
The incident took place while Varadkar was holding a poster on cannabis use for medical purposes.
It was quickly pointed out that it violated the house rules and that it was forbidden to post a poster of this nature to the room.
While this was happening, Gino Kenny, the people before the profit, reprimanded the Taoiseach, treating it aloud for "disgrace".
Kenny described what the Taoiseach did as "the lowest thing I've ever seen at this place".
Varadkar accused a member of Kenny's party of having created the poster in question, which led the TD to require that the comments be removed from the record.
Kenny also asked Taoiseach what was the delay in launching the medical cannabis program that the government had enlisted almost two years ago.
Varadkar responded to these comments by saying:
"I am very concerned about the spread of misinformation by people."
Kenny has since used Twitter to get into the details of the situation.
He wrote:
"Today, at the promise of the law, I have raised legitimate concerns about the delay of the proposed cannabis access program.
"It has been two years since the case was brought in. Instead of responding to Leo Varadkar's concerns, he chose to try to discredit PBP on this important issue."
