EASTENDERS is about to take a decisive turn in the plot as Mel Owen embarks on new extremes to unveil the secret double life of her husband, Ray Kelly.

Mel – interpreted by Tamzin Outhwaite – seeks revenge for his flame on the screen – interpreted by Sean Mahon – after discovering that he was married, has a son with his wife Maddie Wright and introduces himself under the pseudonym of Simon Wright.

However, the shenanigans of the businesswoman are threatened when she makes a new discovery about the policeman.

In scenes airing on the BBC One soap opera this week, Mel becomes friends with Maddie in an effort to uncover the truth about Ray.

Mel decides to meet Maddie at the E20, when Ray drops her off for work.

The club owner is trying to find out where Ray is gone.

Mel determined decides to wait for Ray on the outside of a pub, but what she sees is a horror.

Hunter's mother continues to question Ray in the hope that he will eventually confess, but he remains dumb on his secret life.

Then, Mel steals Ray's warrant card and makes an appointment with Maddie again to share his information, including what his relationship with Ray is.

Maddie refuses to believe that Ray has been romantically linked to Mel until she shows the warrant card.

Maddie gets another shot after being informed that her partner was having an affair, but also when she is informed of the events of the other night.

In future scenes, Maddie goes to Mel unintentionally, she wants to confront his partner.

Mel manages to dispel the situation and warns Maddie of Ray's potential danger.
