Mosquitoes are West Nile virus positive in Jefferson County

JEFFERSON COUNTY, MO – Jefferson County Department of Health Finds West Nile Virus-Positive Mosquitoes in Kimmswick and Arnold

Health Department Press Release Indicates Mosquitoes were captured in late June. The release indicated that Kimmswick had conducted mosquito control.

The Department of Health encourages residents to take precautions where mosquitoes are active. They say they wear long sleeves or use insect repellents containing 20 to 50% DEET or picaridine.
