THE PRINCESS Eugenie was "angry" after Meghan Markle "did not attend" her wedding reception in the evening, according to news reports.
Although Prince Harry rushed for a drink, the bride was unhappy that the Duke and Duchess of Susbad did not show up as a couple, reports The Telegraph.
The reason why Meghan Markle missed the event – and Prince Harry's brief stay at the reception – is unknown, but it happened just before they announced their pregnancy and began their royal tour.
While Prince Harry and Meghan Markle missed the celebrations of the evening, Prince William and Kate Middleton would have "done their best" an evening.
Prior to the October wedding, Bazaar announced that Meghan would not attend the evening reception.
The report said: "They will unfortunately miss part of the after-party, which will leave them plenty of preparation time for their flight to Australia, for their next tour."
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle announced that they were going to have a baby while they were landing in Australia on October 15th for their first royal tour as husband and wife.
Although the expiry date has not yet been confirmed, speculations would do so by the end of March or early April.
Princess Eugenie knotted on October 12 at Windsor Castle and hosted a luncheon reception immediately after the wedding.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle would have attended this wedding party and enjoyed the appetizers, the red velvet wedding cake and the speeches of the husband and father of the bride.
The evening was a celebratory affair and was organized by wedding organizer Peregrine Armstrong-Jones, the man who presided over David and Victoria Beckham in 1999.
The event included a meal sitting at the Royal Lodge, where Princess Eugenie grew up and where Prince Andrew and his mother, Sarah Ferguson, still live, although they divorced for 22 years.
Kensington Palace was contacted but declined to comment.
