Ruby (played by Louisa Lytton) joined several EastEnders characters in the Queen Vic tonight as the truth about her rape trial became known.
At the beginning of the episode, Walford residents were discussing a newspaper article referring to a raped woman, unaware that it was Ruby who was having a drink with her friend Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner).
However, Ruby struggled to keep him, his rapist being ousted in front of everyone in the pub, who then began to discuss the issue of badual consent on the BBC soap opera.
Before confronting her rapist's friend and letting her know that she was the victim, Linda Carter (Kellie Bright) had already reunited two and two.
Although Ruby initially lied that she was not the woman mentioned in the newspaper article, Linda told her not to be afraid after being raped.
Linda was badually badaulted by brother Dean Wicks (Matt Di Angelo) of her husband, Mick Carter (Danny Dyer), in 2014.
Viewers of the BBC soap opera will know that Linda struggled to cope with the event herself, as she did not discuss Dean's actions in the aftermath of the attack.
After following the process, Linda gave Ruby some advice on how she should not think it was her fault for what had happened.
Linda told Ruby, "Do not cry another tear. They do not deserve it ", after establishing the link between Ruby and the woman of the story.
"You know in your heart if what happened is right or wrong and if you have the guts to tell someone, go to the police and do everything you want. have to do to get him here, no one has the right to question him.
"How dare they do that to another person!" Linda continued, comforting Ruby.
With Linda's words in her mind and having heard enough of her fellow citizens on the subject, Ruby decided to reveal the truth.
In front of the residents, Linda smiled at Ruby, expressing her support for the woman as she came back to sit down with Stacey.
However, Ruby was still in doubt about her ordeal and told Stacey that no one would believe her if she pursued the case.
Could Linda step in and help Stacey convince Ruby what she's doing is in her best interest, or is Ruby going to hide the truth now?
Whitney Dean (Shona McGarthy) will also be supporting Ruby in the episode tomorrow night. She was also badually badaulted by her ex-boyfriend and was cared for by her father-in-law, Tony King (Chris Coghill).
Talking about the filming of the special episode, Louisa told What's On TV: "Filming in The Vic is scary!
"Everyone in the show says it. All eyes are on you. It's intimidating. "
Viewers will have to wait to see if Ruby goes further in the folder. However, Stacey and her husband, Martin Fowler (James Bye) will also face their involvement in the proceedings.
