The South Korean tech company is expected to announce the Galaxy Note 10.
Samsung is about to unveil its latest Galaxy Note smartphone, with support for 5G to feature updates to the new device. The technology giant is hosting a live event in New York today (Aug. 7) where it will officially announce the launch of its latest flagship device, the Galaxy Note 10.
Reports suggest that the company could announce at least two versions of the phone with different screen sizes.

The Galaxy Note range is best known for its large screen and built-in S Pen Pen, which allow users to create handwritten notes on the screen. Ernest Doku, a mobile phone expert at uSwitch.com, said a choice of two Note 10 devices could convince mobile users to switch to new phones.
"This latest addition to the Samsung Galaxy Note high performance range is meant to excite fans of the original phablet. And in a first in the series, consumers should have the choice between a more affordable standard 10, and the Plus version, more expensive, "he said.
"Ideally, both versions of Note 10 would be consistent with the 5G standard, but some reports suggest that only the Plus version will benefit from next-generation technology to justify a higher price.
"Samsung's Galaxy Note line has always been priced to reflect its leading position in the market as a state-of-the-art device that does it all. A more affordable and streamlined note 10 could attract fans who have already been put off by the high price of the phones in the series, while a higher price for the Plus model will not deter high-end consumers who demand flight performance.
"With this in mind, Samsung will probably reveal a realistic price for the Galaxy Note 10, which reflects the apathy of the handset market.
Samsung's recent earnings report revealed customers' demand for more affordable phones, while its high-end models saw a drop in sales, and smartphone fans probably will not spend around £ 1,000 on a device ultramodern that is not ready for 5G. "
Last week, Samsung also unveiled a new tablet and a smart watch as the company updates a number of product lines.
The live event in New York, known as Samsung Unpacked, could also be used to give additional information on the company's first folding phone, the Galaxy Fold.
The Fold combines a single screen like that of a traditional smartphone, but can be unfolded to reveal a larger screen, the size of a tablet.
A May launch was delayed after the first testers reported problems with the screen, but Samsung last month confirmed that it had made the "necessary improvements" to the device at 1 £ 800 and that it would be published in September.
The company may share other information about this publication during the event.
