Two types of bottled water from the Spar and Londis chain stores were recalled with above normal levels of arsenic.
The Food Safety Authority of Ireland has issued a recall notice for Spar Water Sill Sport 750ml and 1 Liter Londis Still Water.
The recall is a "precautionary measure" and the consumption of water presents no immediate or permanent risk. Nevertheless, consumers are advised not to drink water.
Retailers were asked to remove the lot number 177 from the sale.
