The HTC U11 Life is its first phone to receive the Android pie.

Android 9 Pie arrives at HTC U11 Life, according to Ubergizmo. This will be the first HTC device to get the last major update of the operating system since the launch of Pie in August.

The HTC U11 came out in the summer of 2017 under Android Nougat, and later receives the Oreo update shortly after its launch. The HTC U11 Life beats the flagship device of the company in 2018, the HTC U12 +, by obtaining Pie. It is therefore logical that the U11 Life International is the first model of HTC to receive this update because it is an Android One device. Android One devices are required to receive timely software updates. The US model sold by T-Mobile uses the standard HTC Sense and probably does not receive this update at this time.

Now that Android 9 is out for life, it could mean that it may not be necessary to wait too long before other HTC devices receive the update in the future. HTC said the U12 +, U11 and U11 + would also receive Pie at some point.
