The new fan theory suggests something very interesting about Minerva McGonagall in the new movie Fantastic Beasts

WARNING: There will be errors in this room, so if you have not seen Fantastic Beasts yet and where to find them 2: The Grindlewald Crimes, do not read.

Minerva McGonagall is one of the top 10 characters in the Harry Potter wizarding world, and if she does not do it, you have to be a group of disgusting baboons.

She's smart, she's extremely powerful and a tough guy. She's just the best.

So, of course, we should all have been absolutely taken aback when we saw her make a brief appearance in Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them 2: The Grindlewald Crimes.

But there is only one problem: it has not been born yet.

The film takes place in 1927 and McGonagall was born only in 1935. And we know that it was not her mother because she lived in a muggle world, although she was a witch.

So who was this teacher who looked exactly like McGonagall and who shared her surname and occupation?

Well, a fan suggests that it's Minerva herself. Thanks to two words: time travel.

A YouTube page called supercarlinbros explained that McGonagall had a relationship similar to that of Queenie and Jacob, in that she was in love with a Muggle.

She loved a man named Dougal McGregor, but she quickly realized that it would never work because she would be wasting her powers because she would have to hide the fact that the two were together, so she broke up with him. day before their wedding.

They therefore feel that she has taken a trip back in time to help Dumbledore defeat Grindlewald. He would convince her by telling him that defeating Grindlewald would be a step forward in the attempt to create a world in which muggles and magic people could get married.

What do you think? A stretch, or JK Rowling does what she does best and inserts a brilliant twist that will make us lose water?

Admitting that it is a little difficult to understand why they would feel the need, this theory makes more sense than anything we have heard so far.

No doubt all the answers will be given in future films.
