Earlier this month, it was discovered that there was a major compatibility issue with Apple's iCloud for Windows program (version 7.7.0.27) and the latest Windows 10 update. In response, and to prevent other users from being affected, Microsoft has blocked the deployment of the Windows 10 update on devices where iCloud is already installed.

Today, Apple has released an update for iCloud for Windows that brings it to version 7.8.1 and apparently fixes the previously mentioned bugs. Microsoft has updated the status of this issue on its website and encourages all iCloud users to update their software to the latest version of iCloud for Windows before attempting to update Windows 10 again.

Microsoft's October 10 update of Windows has seen a host of problems, ranging from default application bugs to driver display conflicts that have delayed the deployment of the update to varying degrees for many users .
