Assuming this is true – and baduming no other flagship Samsung smartphone is launched from here the Galaxy S10 – this alleged memory / storage configuration would be the highest in the range of devices Samsung.
At present, the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 offers Samsung's highest memory / storage options (8GB and 512GB, respectively). This model currently costs $ 1,250. One can only imagine how much Sammy would charge for a 12 GB / 1 TB smartphone.
If Samsung will really offer as much memory / storage in a Galaxy S10 smartphone – and it's a huge "if", the question is who will get it.
We are relatively certain that there will be at least three variants of the Samsung Galaxy S10: a vanilla S10 model, a Galaxy S10 Plus and a cheaper model, the Galaxy S10, with lower specifications and less sophisticated hardware. If these are the only three models that Samsung will launch, we expect that this option of 12 GB / 1 TB is exclusively reserved for the Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus.
However, many rumors suggest the existence of a fourth variant of the Samsung Galaxy S10, one with a giant screen, a 5G support, six cameras and other advanced features. Throwing 12GB of RAM and 1TB of internal storage in this beast seems like the right kind of overkill.
CEO of Samsung's mobile division, DJ Koh, recently mentioned that Samsung was in "crisis" in the field of smartphones. It may be that the company is ready to do everything possible for the release of its 2019 versions to better compete with competing manufacturers.
