Venezuelan crab meat could be contaminated, according to the FDA

People who eat or buy crabmeat in a grocery store should ask where the product comes from, the FDA said. Crab meat is often found in plastic pots and marked as "precooked," according to the FDA.

The US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reported that crab meat had normal air. Venezuelan crab meat, the FDA said. If a consumer or store does not know the origin of the crabmeat, they should discard it, says the CDC.

Children under 5, the elderly, and the immunocompromised are the most vulnerable, according to the FDA. .
